Tennis Trade is proudly managed by Gordon Asciak, a true legend in the world of Maltese tennis.

Gordon Asciak is a well-established name in the Maltese tennis community, leaving a lasting impact on both the national and international stage. At just 16 years old, he secured the title of Maltese National Champion, an achievement he maintained impressively for 13 consecutive years from 1978 to 1991.

 

Gordon's lifelong passion for tennis began at a young age, and he went on to compete in prestigious tournaments, including Junior Wimbledon. His representation of Malta in 40 Davis Cup ties is a testament to his remarkable skills, with 37 victories and 33 losses under his belt. One of his most remarkable feats was in 1995 in Congo, where his exceptional performance contributed to Malta's promotion to Group 2. In addition to his Davis Cup accomplishments, Gordon earned numerous medals in international competitions, including a gold medal in the Small States of Europe in 1993.

Even after retiring from professional play, Gordon continues to play a pivotal role in the local tennis scene, currently serving as the national team coach for Malta. His remarkable achievements and profound influence on the sport of tennis in Malta have rightfully earned him a place in the Malta Tennis Federation National Hall of Fame.
